From 2003
The Protected Designation of Origin Ribera del Júcar · Cuenca was born as a joint initiative of a group of wine-producing cooperatives and private wineries in the province of Cuenca to actively collaborate in the production and marketing of quality wines. To achieve this, these wineries have made significant investments in new technologies to produce high-quality wines, and the vintners have worked on converting their vineyards to complementary varieties alongside the traditional ones, such as Bobal and Moscatel de Grano Menudo.
This young DOP was established in 2003 and covers an area of 6,700 hectares of vineyards, located in the municipalities of Casas de Benítez, Casas de Fernando Alonso, Casas de Guijarro, Casas de Haro, El Picazo, Pozoamargo, and Sisante in Cuenca.
The creation of the new Protected Designation of Origin Ribera del Júcar · Cuenca is another step forward, highlighting the great effort of the vintners to improve their productions. They have adapted to the market and the taste of the most demanding consumers by decisively focusing on the production of high-quality wines, which are bottled under the DOP Ribera del Júcar · Cuenca.

Our wines have always been synonymous with quality and exclusivity. The tradition and distinctive personality of our red wines are the key to their differentiation in the market. For twenty years, we have been working to maintain the high quality of our wines, promoting them, and showcasing their value.
Our utmost priority has always been the people, both our consumers by offering them the best, and our vintners by valuing their daily work.
In our towns, 5,500 inhabitants live, of whom 1,000 are vintners. This fact highlights the importance of the wine industry in stabilizing the population in rural areas and in what is known as the emptied Spain.
After all these years, our commitment remains strong.
